The Foothills School Division has released a statement on the death of 34 year old Tara Roe in the Las Vegas shooting rampage.

Superintendent John Bailey says "it is with sadness, shock, and grief that we confirm the loss of a Foothills School Division staff member."

Tara Roe, an Educational Assistant in the division, has been identified as one of the victims of the mass shooting.

Bailey says it's been a challenging time for the division yet they continue to stand together and support one another.

A crisis response team has been put in place and it will remain as long as is needed to assist students and staff.

To assist families at home when talking to their children they're asking parents to visit The National Child Traumatic Stress Network.

He says "the division's thoughts are with the family and friends of those affected by this unimaginable attack."
