The Salvation Army Food Bank in High River isn't looking to have a warehouse full of food.

Lieutenant Cory Fifield says what they are hoping to have is a steady amount of food coming in to satisfy the needs of those looking for help.

He says they'd like to hear from groups who are holding food drives to avoid donor fatigue.

"It creates a scenario where people are going 'Leave Us Alone' type of thing and we never want people to feel that way," Lt. Fifield says. "Instead what we're looking for is sustained donations that come out throughout the year so our shelves always have enough."

He says some of the people who needed help after the 2013 flood have been replaced by those who've been hurt by the economic downturn.
