A recent food drive has provided some good news, and lots of food, for the Salvation Army Food Bank in High River.

Lieutenant Kelly Fifield says they're in really good shape right now.

"We are going into this Thanksgiving thankful that our shelves are full and we still have donations that we are sorting through and getting through and we've just seen the generosity of this community once again come to us when we really need it," she says. "We had a big food drive that was put on by the LDS Church here in town a few weeks ago and up until that point we were really just getting by trying to make it to that food drive, our shelves were really, really empty.

Lieutenant Fifield says she hopes people remember to keep putting items in the bins at Sobey's, No Frills and Co-op grocery stores so they can keep providing food for those who need it, especially as Christmas approaches.
