With temperatures cooling down the M.D. of Foothills lifted its fire ban for the area on September 4.

They are currently re-accepting registration for burn permits, which can be obtained by visiting the M.D. of Foothills website.

There are still some regulations regarding what cannot be burned, they are as follows:

-Tires

-Plastics

-Household Garbage

-Paint and Paint Cans

-Used motor oil and filters

-Furniture

-Treated Products

-Animal Carcasses

The permits are free of charge, but M.D. inspectors may request to see your burn pile before issuing the permit.
