At long last the Town of High River has reached it's last closure of the Centre Street Bridge.

Originally planned to close on Monday October 22, the town has rescheduled the closure to happen on Thursday October 25.

The bridge will be closed for part of the day, to test the brand new floodgate.

On Thursday the bridge will closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with detours accessible on Highway 543/498.

In addition the town has placed a 3 way stop on 3rd Avenue and 5th Street to help guide commuters through the area.

Despite the majority of construction complete, crews will still be frequenting the site all week to complete the finishing touches, and the town is asking drivers to yield for flaggers and slow down when reaching the bridge.
