The snow hasn't been welcomed by everyone, but farmers are loving the moisture.

Kelly Malmberg, Director of Agricultural Services for Vulcan County says, harvest is about 99 percent completed in the Vulcan area, so they're ready for the moisture.

"We haven't had any real moisture since probably mid to late June of any significance out in the Vulcan area, so it would be nice if we got a couple inches of moisture out of this. I don't know if it's going to be a huge system, but it sure is welcome with what we've received so far."

He says, they've already seen some frost in the County.

"I think about a week ago, we had some minus four to minus sixes throughout the area. We've had about two or three killing frosts now."

He says, It's been so dry lately, other than moving straw and putting anhydrous down, not much other farming activity has been going on in the area.
