Our High River has kicked off another initiative to help connect the community together.

Jodi Dawson, with Our High River, says 'Faces of High River' stemmed from the popular blog, Humans of New York.

"There's a photographer that highlights individuals in New York and gives a little story about them. So we thought that would be a fun way to get to know each other in High River," she says. "So we're taking pictures of people in High River, asking them random questions, and sharing the photos on Instagram and Twitter."

She says volunteers are working to get it started, but she's hoping the community will also take part by adding their photos to the collection.

"Be creative and have some fun," Dawson says. "They don't just have to be your standard, standing-there pictures. If you want, you can take a picture of someone in action, like a skateboarder, or someone doing whatever their passion is."

If you'd like to add a photo to the project, just use the hashtag #facesofhr on Instagram or Twitter.
