Okotoks RCMP wrapped up a month-long drug investigation and made an arrest on Friday.

Approximately $6,000 worth of drugs and $1,200 in cash was seized from a home in Okotoks.

Drugs obtained by RCMP through the search warrant included crack, cocaine, fentanyl, MDMA, and prescription medications.

Staff Sgt. Jim Ross says RCMP are continuing to have an impact on drug activity within Okotoks.

"It's quite obvious there's drugs in town by this seizure and there's more going on but it's continual investigations that we're conducting that hopefully we'll get more people off the street who are doing this," he says.

Ross adds a large amount of these drugs are being brought in from outside sources.

"Chances are they are flowing from Calgary and some of the other communities but with Calgary being the bigger centre that's probably where most of this stuff is originating from."

According to RCMP, officers saw multiple drug transactions in town involving the main suspect of this case.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and is now facing a number of charges.
