The Field Of Dreams event is using dough to raise some dough for their big event later this month in Okotoks.

Rob Laird says they'll have Stamps and Flames alumni, as well as local favourite Bearcat Murray at a Tim Horton's in Okotoks to launch their special donuts Friday.

"It's just going to be a really great time, so that's why we'd like to have everybody come out, buy a donut support the great event on May 26, and we will have some tickets there to give away at this donut launch," Laird says.

A couple of organizations will benefit from a charity baseball game at Seaman Stadium May 26.

Laird says one, CC4MS, a group that helps adult male survivors of sexual abuse, because there aren't the type of supports for adults as there are for younger people.

"With the Calgary Flames of course, you had the Theo Fluery situation along with the very well known Sheldon Kennedy and all the great work that he's done, but even Sheldon Kennedy at the age when he started dealing with the trauma in his life, he would have been too old to go to his own advocacy centre," Laird says. "The average age of a man that comes out and talks about this trauma in his life is 17 years or so after the fact."

The other is Life Choice Dynamics which helps former CFL players transition into their post-football life by making the right choices.

The donut launch is at the Tim's on Southridge Drive next to the Wendy's starting at 10 a.m. but Laird suggests you get there earlier.
