Foothills MP John Barlow wants to know your thoughts on doctor assisted suicide.

He's holding four open houses around the riding, Tuesday night and three more next week to get feedback and let people know about the legislation.

Barlow says right now the temperature around the riding is running against the idea.

"A lot of people, letter and phone calls and everything don't support doctor assisted dying at all. We really need to get the message out there to residents, this is going to happen. The Supreme Court has made that decision that we have to come up with some sort of legislation to allow doctor assisted dying."

Tuesday's meeting is at the Redwood House in Redwood Meadows, near Bragg Creek.

Next week's meetings start in Claresholm at the Claresholm Community Centre on Tuesday, April 5.

The following night, Wednesday, April 6 at the Foothills Centennial Centre in Okotoks and in Pincher Creek at the Pincher Creek Community Centre on Thursday, April 7.

All the meetings run from 7 to 9 P.M.
