Three separate accidents took the lives of three people around the Foothills over the weekend.

The latest was Saturday night on Highway 23 at the intersection of Highway 529 when police say a motorcycle driven by a 22 year old Okotoks man ran the stop sign, hitting the back end of a pick-up truck towing a boat killing the motorcycle driver.

No one in the truck was injured.

Police say speed is considered to be a factor in the crash.

The other two crashes involved quads.

Friday night a man and a woman rolled their quad down an embankment north of Coleman in the Crowsnest Pass, the man died at the scene, the woman suffered minor injuries.

Mounties believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

The second quad accident happened Saturday afternoon at McLean Creek, where police say a father and his 14 year old son rolled their side-by-side, killing the 14 year old.

Neither alcohol or speed are considered factors in the crash, but the Calgary Medical Examiners Office is conducting an investigation into the crash.

The names of the none of the victims are being released.
