There were four fatalities and a train derailment in Alberta this weekend.

Banff RCMP attended the scene of a fatality at Tunnel Mountain on Friday June 8th.

RCMP say a 26 year old male from Banff stumbled and fell approximately 25 to 40 metres.  A second climber was rescued from a nearby location.

A 34 year old man from Medicine Hat died as a result of a collision between a semi truck and a pickup truck on a bridge near Brooks.

There was also a double fatality on the Highway 2 and 27 overpass near Olds on Sunday June 10th.  The collision involved a single passenger vehicle.  Other occupants of the vehicle were transported via ambulance with undetermined injuries.

And there was a seven car CP train derailment near Blackfalds on Friday June 8th.

The cars were carrying crude oil with one of the seven leaking.

The cleanup continued through the night and the area was reopened to traffic on Saturday night.

No injuries were reported.
