Later tonight we turn our clocks back one hour as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end.

That means before you go to bed turn your clocks back.

It's also a good time to clean, test and change the batteries in your smoke alarms and check your CO detectors

It's recommended you have a CO detector in working condition on every floor in your home

The Insurance Bureau of Canada also suggests going over your family emergency plan to make sure it works and  everyone in the house knows it and where to go in the event of an emergency.

And check your first-aid kit and replace any missing supplies
