Get ready to spring ahead this weekend.

At 2 a.m. Sunday morning, clocks will jump ahead one hour to 3 a.m.

This means more daylight in the evenings, and mornings will be a bit darker again for a little while.

Daylight saving time always takes place the second Sunday in March and clocks won't fall back until Nov. 5.

Alberta first practiced daylight saving in 1967 but not in 1968 and has been taking place consistently in the province since 1969.

Canada first observed daylight saving in 1908.
