Cochrane RCMP are looking for information regarding barbed wire on a trail West of Bragg Creek.

On July 5th around 8pm a pair of cyclists hit the trail.

Shortly into their ride, one cyclist struck barbed wire that had been strung between trees across the trail, knocking the cyclist off the bike.

Cochrane RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters says, a rider was heading downhill, standing up on his bike, when he hit the barbwire that was strung between two trees, knocking him off his bike.

Along with being knocked off his bike, he sustained a cut on his neck.

They took down the wire and went to the hospital.

The cyclists went to the hospital for medical treatment, and when they returned to the trail to collect the bike, it was gone.

If someone found the bike it can be brought into the RCMP detachment or call them and they will pick it up.
