High River Council meets Tuesday afternoon, a day later than usual because of the holiday.

Topping the agenda is the setting of the Property Tax Rate.

If approved as presented, ratepayers are looking at an increase of 1.72 per cent.

Council will also look at a proposed Recreation Facilities Bylaw and a Planning and Renewal Advisory Committee Bylaw.

Members of the committee will have their terms extended.

Council will also look at options for a flood gate at the Centre Street bridge.

Once work starts the bags that are there now will be removed, probably by September.

The meeting starts at 3 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
