High River's Chamber of Commerce President is seeing the silver lining in the cloud of the U.S. Presidential Election.

Steve Muth says we could end up seeing tourism increase as the election of Donald Trump could see less people willing to cross the border.

"I can see tourism to the United States taking a hit because of this. Hopefully that's a benefit. Hopefully Canadians will now tour around Southern Alberta, rather than going to the United States. So, I think there's even some opportunities for Canada, Alberta and even High River in that regard, given the political climate in the United States."

Muth says changes to U.S. Agriculture Policy could have an effect on High River and the surrounding area when it comes to cattle and grain markets.
