Construction crews got back to work at Foothills Composite High School on Wednesday.

Work on the Comp's modernization was briefly put on hold following an accidental gas leak that took place at the school two weeks ago.

The Foothills School Division brought in a third party independent safety consultant to perform a safety review and as a result a safety officer will be on the school site to ensure safety procedures and policies are being followed at all times.

Jen-Col, the general contractor for the modernization, will also be retaining a new roofing contractor.

The division says safety is their utmost concern and thanks the community for its patience.
