High River RCMP are looking for a suspect in the theft of coins from the Shopper's Drug Mart on 3 Avenue S.E.

It happened Sunday, August 14 at about 3:45 in the afternoon.

Police say a man went to a coin display case at the Canada Post Office outlet counter, broke open the locks on the display case, and stole in excess of $2,000 worth of collectible coins.

RCMP are looking into a connection to earlier thefts from the High River Sobeys.

"I can't say for sure that it's the same person, I mean they look similar to the video surveillance but I obviously can't say 100% that it's the same person, but it is obviously something we're looking at," Constable Stacy Campbell says.
