Terry Coleman is one of four Candidates who have their eye on the lone Councilor seat left vacant after the resignation of Peter Loran.

Coleman who moved to High River in 1977 says there's a few of the things he'd like to see change like the traffic flow downtown.

"For starters I'd go back to the one-way system. The redesign of downtown is what it is. The manoverability downtown with or without parking issues leaves one wondering why it isn't one-way."

Coleman says his past experience makes him more qualified than any other Candidate.

"I was on city council for three years is Saskatchewan. I've worked with the provincial government in Saskatchewan as a Deputy Minister including Deputy Minister of Municiple Affairs. I'm far better experienced than they are."

Among the issues he'd like to chime in on include table like land use by-laws and secondary suites.

"It is intrusive on some neighborhoods particularly on some of the older neighborhoods."

The Municiple by-election will be held on October 17 and voting will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Highwood Memorial Centre located at 128 - 5 Avenue S.E.
