Good news, we can all hit the swimming holes again.

After a number of water bodies in the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone were under blue-green algae bloom advisories, the cooler weather has decreased lake and reservoir water temperatures and blue-green algae is no longer a health concern.

Advisories have been lifted for Clear Lake, Travers Reservoir, the Twin Valley Reservoir, and the Pine Coulee Reservoir

As always, visitors and residents are reminded to never drink or cook with untreated water directly from any lake or reservoir, at any time.
