A clarification to an earlier story about funding for the modernization project at Blackie School.

Foothills County is committing up to $500,000 for for a proposed Community Hub which could be part of the Blackie School modernization when the project is approved by Alberta Education.

The money will help provide space in the school for a community hall, a library, as well as a commercial kitchen for some of the larger community events and functions in Blackie.

The Foothills School Division, which has Blackie School on the top of its wish list for work, is waiting for approval for the project from the Province of Alberta.
