There's going to be another closure of the Centre Street Bridge in High River, starting on October 14.

The closure will begin Sunday at 11:59 p.m., until Monday October 15 at 11:59 p.m.

The usual detour will be available on Highway 543/498 Avenue East, and flaggers will be present on these sites during busy periods to help guide traffic flow.

In addition, on October 12 construction crews will be working on the pedestrian corridor of the bridge laying down some new concrete.

The construction on the pedestrian portion of the bridge will begin at 9 a.m. and should wrap up at 5 p.m.

Crews will be placing a ramp to allow pedestrians to walk across the bridge during the construction process.

The town says this weeks construction should wrap up the finishing touches, and complete the construction of the floodgate.

A final closure has been scheduled for October 22, to complete testing on the finished floodgate project.
