Online shopping will see a big up-tick this holiday season.

Poll results from E-Bates Canada show more and more of us are avoiding the Mall during the holiday rush, opting for online shopping instead.

And according to E-Bates Director of Marketing, Belinda Bauginet, the vast majority of those shoppers are men, who she says live up to one long held stereotype.

"They tend to be a little bit more last minute shoppers, so they're not always able to take advantage of the best deals when they're waiting for the last minute."

On average Canadians will spend about $570 in Christmas this year, with Alberta near the bottom at $539.
