Anyone driving down 12 Avenue in High River will have noticed a good deal of work being done next to the Mark's store.

Shlane Broomfield with the Town's Planning Department says a four-unit commercial building has been approved for the site.

It's being developed by Canadian Tire's Real Estate arm and so far it's unknown who the tenants might be.

She says public art will be incorporated into the site through bike racks and a transformer.

The developer plans to talk to local schools about helping out.
