After a long 78 days it's time for Canadians to head to the polls for the 42nd time in Canadian history for the 2015 federal election.

Many have dubbed it the biggest election in Canada's history.

Locally there are six candidates in the Foothills riding.

Representing the Conservatives is MP John Barlow, Alison Thompson carries the NDP orange, Tanya MacPherson is your Liberal candidate, Romy Tittel is representing the Green Party, Cory Morgan is the Libertarian candidate and Marc Slingerland will be the Christian Heritage Party vote locally.

Locations are scattered throughout the riding and you'll have refer to your voter information card to the exact location where you're supposed to vote at.

However, you can still vote even without that card as you'll just need a couple of pieces of I.D. and you'll get a ballot.

In High River voters will be marking their ballots at the Highwood Memorial Centre at 128 5th Avenue West.
