The Chamber of Commerce in High River has some big plans for 2018.

The group is redoing their strategic plan and continuing to work on new partnerships.

President Steven Muth says it's going to be a busy year.

"We are undertaking a formal strategic planning process that we started here this month," said Muth."That is going to take us through the next few months. We are basically completely redoing our strategic plan to update it for what the High River and District is today and what the Chamber needs to adapt to."

There are also working with several service groups.

"Plus our continued work with other the other service providers in town,  Academy of Learning, Bow Valley College, the Town, to help grow a lot of the momentum that was started for this business community."

Muth adds there is a lot of new businesses coming to town based on the construction taking place.

"I am very confident we are going to have a very busy 2018."
