The Town of Turner Valley's a little behind on their 2017 budget talks.

Mayor Kelly Tuck says they're close to having it ready to go through.

"We normally try to have it out by the end of the year, and I'm confident that we still will. But we're looking at every avenue we can to save money as I'm sure every municipality has."

She says her big concern is the Provincial Carbon Tax, which kicks in January 1.

She says it's tough to budget for the unknown.

Although she does say they're looking at rounding up a bit, just to make sure they have a bit of reserve instead of being caught short if the tax bill is more than they've estimated.
