The Bomber Command Museum in Nanton is the place to be this weekend if you like vintage planes and vintage bikes.

The Annual "Bikes and Bombers" event goes Saturday, and Museum Director Karl Kjarsgaard says it's really cool to mix the bikers in with the veterans at the museum.

"A lot of these guys are very pro veteran and pro military. And so when they come out, it's the ideal chance for them to cruise down the highway and then they swing it into our museum, and hang around for the day. We're going to run (the Lancaster engines) in the morning and then in the afternoon at 11 A.M. and at 2 P.M.

The doors open for the day at 10 A.M.

Kjarsgaard says it's always fun to see who's louder, the bikes or the bomber.

He says on full throttle, his money's on the Lancaster and it's four Merlin Engines.

Some of the other special events include photos with the bikes and the Lancaster, a ride in a sidecar, and of course there's a concession in the main hangar during the day.
