The Bomber Command Museum in Nanton is marking the 75th anniversary of the formation of Bombers Commands All Canadian RCAF Bomber Force on August 19.

6 Group was formed in October of 1942 and grew to include 14 squadrons which flew over 40,000 missions with 271,981 flying hours and a total of 814 aircraft were lost.

Guest Speaker LtCol. (ret’d) David Bashow of Royal Military College Professor and author of “No Prouder Place –Canadians and the Bomber Command Experience” will speak at 1 p.m.
