What was already going to be a star studded line-up has been made even better with the announcement that Adam Nimoy, the son of the late Leonard Nimoy, will be headlining the celebrities at this year's "Vul-Con" in Vulcan.

Nimoy will reveal an honorary plaque at the bust of his father, who played Star Trek's iconic "Mr. Spock,"  in the middle of Town on Saturday, July 9 at 9 A.M.

The ceremony is free to attend, and afterwards Nimoy will stick around for a Q&A session and sign free autographs inside the convention halls.

The two day convention, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the "Star Trek" franchise, is chocker-block full of stars as they've got someone from almost each series represented.

Robert Beltran who played "Commander Chakotay" on Star Trek Voyager is making his first appearance at a convention in Alberta.

Fellow "Voyager" alum, Manu Intiraymi who played "Icheb," and Rosemary Morgan who guest starred as "Piri" in the episode "The Chute."

Mother/Daughter, Rosemary Morgan and Julie Cobb are two generations of "Star Trek" Alumni as Morgan appeared on Star Trek: Voyager and Cobb was on the original series.

From "Deep Space Nine," Andrew Robinson who played the Cardassian "Garak" but will also be familiar to movie fans as "The Scorpio Killer" from the 1971 Clint Eastwood movie "Dirty Harry."

Sally Kellerman and Julie Cobb from the original series will be on hand.

Many will remember Kellerman as the original "Hot Lips Houlihan" in the 1970 Movie version of M*A*S*H.

As for Cobb, an interesting bit of trivia as she was the only female "Red Shirt" to die on the original series.

Other guests include, Dominic Keating, who played "Lt. Malcom Reed" from "Enterprise," and Robin Curtis, who played "Lt. Saavik" in both "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" and "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home."

And in case you were wondering, who's going to be hosting all the Q&A panels at Vul-Con? (And I knew you were!)

It's AM 1140 & Sun Country's own resident Star Trek Geek... Russell Skeet!

"Vul-Con" runs July 9 and 10 in Vulcan.
