High River's Beachwood Estates is well on it's way to being back to nature.

Dallas Huybregts, with Alberta Infrastructure says they've pretty much got it all cleared out now.

"All of the homes are either removed or demolished. There's one structure that's been moved off its foundation and it is now in the street waiting to be moved. So that's the last one that's ready to go."

Huybregts says their contractor has been busy over the summer as the auctioned homes were moved out.

"All properties have had their foundations and hard scape removed and they have been back filled. All of the concrete and asphalt from the foundations have been crushed. And the contractor is currently hauling the crushed concrete and the remaining debris off the site. They expect that to be finished in mid December."

Huybregts says the contractor will be back in the Spring to hydro-seed and finish the last of the landscaping and then the land will be turned back over to the Town of High River.
