The Tory Caucus in Ottawa will welcome two new members this week.

Stephanie Kusie and Bob Benzen won by-elections in Calgary on Monday, April 3.

Foothills MP John Barlow, who came into Parliament as a mid term replacement himself, has some advice for the pair.

"Don't be a wallflower, get out there and meet people. Try and make your mark as quickly as you can. It's a steep learning curve. It's been three years for me, and I'm still learning everyday."

Barlow says the new duo will be encouraged to get up in the House of Commons and ask questions and to get involved as quickly as they can.

He points to Kusie's time as a diplomat, plus her work with the City of Calgary, along with Benzen's time as a business owner as indications the two will make good additions to the opposition benches.
