Some High River parents are worried about some bad candy that may have circulated through the community on Halloween.

High River Mom, Amanda Pawlitzki, says she found a piece of the suspect candy in her daughter's Halloween haul.

"Not going to lie. I got a little lump in my throat when she came up and said, "Look what I found!"

Pawlitzki says she first saw the warning on Facebook, which prompted her to give her daughter's candy a more thorough inspection.

"It was the day after Halloween and a fellow parent had posted a link that RCMP were warning parents about this typical kind of candy found in certain bags in different parts of Alberta."

Blackfalds RCMP are investigating after a child in the Town of Clive, ate some of the candy and got sick.

Police are advising anyone with the candy to simply throw it out.
