The One Hundred Women Who Care - Okotoks & Area are back in action Thursday night as they'll be picking their latest Foothills charity to make it rain cash on.

Group founder Karen Love says how they pick the charity is pretty simple.

"Those at meeting have the chance to nominate a charity. So, as many nominations as we can get. Then we pull them all in the box. We pull out three random charities and the ladies who nominated those charities get five minutes to basically, sell why we should donate to that charity. Then the ladies do a secret ballot to choose which of the three charities we want the money to go to. And then whoever gets the most votes gets the cash."

So far they've handed out about $6,000 between the Foothills Country Hospice and the Rowan House Women's Emergency Shelter.

Thursdays meeting goes from 7 to 8 o'clock at the Crystal Ridge Golf Club in Okotoks.
