Baby It's Cold Outside is gearing up for a busy season.

The organization serves a majority of Southern Alberta, from Calgary to Lethbridge, by supplying those in need with warm clothes and personal care items. Donations get dispersed to centres like the Rowan House Women's Emergency Shelter and Calgary Drop-In Centre.

Pamela Morgan, founder of BCO, says they have plenty on the go in the coming months.

"October we have an essentials drive where our goal this year is to have 1,000 essential bags, we had 509 we did in the spring, then in November we're doing our big winter drive that will be throughout Okotoks where you'll see our bins at a number of retail locations and you can take in your winter coats and all of those things."

The group operates 365 days a year and also offers curbside pick up for donations.

Morgan says the support for the organization in Okotoks is amazing.

"We are sometimes polite to a fault, that said we have an amazing community where we really, really support each other so even though we might not see everything out in the open there's a lot going on behind the scenes, and there's always someone reaching out wanting to know what they can do to help someone else."

Baby It's Cold Outside is hosting a fundraiser on Sept. 8 from 4- 8 p.m. that will feature silent auction items, food, live entertainment, and guest speakers.
