If you are travelling to B.C. this weekend you might want to check on your destination as the Province has declared a state of emergency as wildfires burn out of control in the interior.

Todd Stone, minister responsible for emergency management announced a provincial state of emergency last night.

Evacuation alerts and orders have been issued for Ashcroft, Cache Creek and Princeton. these are in addition to the orders issued yesterday for 105 Mile House and 108 Mile House.

56 new wildfires started yesterday.
