Another fundraiser has been set up to help a young High River boy with a rare form of cancer.

Christi Tims is going to hold a Paint Night at the Highwood Golf Club, September 29th, to help out Carson Black and his family.

Carson and his parents, Candice and Sean have to fly back and forth to Toronto for chemotherapy treatments regularly and money raised will go to help with expenses.

"I teach paint nights with this company Colours and Cocktails in High River, and I'm going to guide people in painting the painting that did for Candice, and it's called I Love You To The Moon and Back and it features a mom and a young child," Tims says. "It's very symbolic of her and Carson and that's a phrase that she always says to her kids."

She says everyone will get to do their own painting while socializing and having fun but all for a good cause.

Tims says Candice is planning to attend the event.

She says there's limited seating for Paint Night and some people just aren't into painting so another way they can help is to purchase a print, in either paper or canvas, of the painting she's done for Carson and Candice.

She says the order will go in so that the prints will arrive in late November or early December making them perfect Christmas gifts. Less the cost of printing all the money from the prints will also go the family.
