The Province of Alberta has reached a deal with the Federal Government on health care funding.

The Province says it will get $1.3 billion in federal funding over the next 10 years.

That includes just over $700 million for home care and $586 million for mental-health initiatives.

Health Minister Sarah Hoffman says the Province is also getting six million dollars to tackle an opioid overdose crisis.

Manitoba is the only province that has not yet reached an agreement with the Federal Government on health care.
