During the weekend of February 3, 2017, Okotoks RCMP seized a number items ranging from drugs, weapons to survey equipment in their ongoing investigations.

Around a half an ounce of methamphetamine was found during a traffic stop.

While another traffic stop netted weapons from bear spray to batons.

During a pair of Check Stops on February 4, 2017 both the RCMP and Okotoks Municipal Enforcement conducted a checkstop checking 150 different vehicles.

They laid one impaired driving charge, a 72 hour suspension and roadside impaired checks were conducted on three different people.

They also handed out eight moving violations.

Both RCMP and Municipal Enforcement are reminding residents to not drink and drive or use narcotics while behind the wheel.
