As the summer is nearing an end, the neighbourhood block-party trailer in High River is also winding down for the season.

Caitland Asmundson with FCSS says, now in its third year running, the block-party trailer gets more and more successful each year.

"We have more people using it this year than last year," she says. "We've increased our usership by about 10 parties."

The trailer was donated to FCSS after the flood by Scott Builders, and Asmundson says they're able to keep it because of donations and community support, but they're looking to up its funding for next year.

"We are hoping maybe next summer to engage some sponsorship into the program," she says. "So if there is anyone interested in sponsoring the program, they can connect with FCSS and we can build on it hopefully for next year as well."

Asmundson says although they're nearing the end of the season, there are a couple more openings available to book the block-party trailer.
