The Town of High River is looking for a few good men and women to help fill spots on some of their committees.

Right now six boards are in need of members and the Towns Manager of Legislative Services, Kara Rusk says those that usually come on board have a keen interest in their community.

"I think typically, just based on some of the research I've conducted with our Town's Boards and Committee's, is that people generally sign up because they want to give back to their community. They want to feel like part of the process. And they want to feel like they're making a difference here in High River."

The six boards are, the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Board, Heritage Advisory Board, Arts & Culture Advisory Committee, High River Library Board, High River Policing Committee and the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.
