It's taken a few years since the 2013 flood, but the Town of Turner Valley can finally start to look forward in their planning.

One exciting development is coming to the town in 2016 and that's the "On-It" Transit Program.

Mayor Kelly Tuck says it's going to be significant to the town's future moving forward.

I am excited about 'On-It' and putting that whole program together with the Calgary Regional Partnership. I do believe it's going to be a benefit to the residents, especially getting them from here into Calgary, Okotoks and High River. We do have a few residents who are aging that I've spoken to and they're really, really excited to get on a bus and go do what they want to do."

Tuck says they'll also wrap up most if not all of their outstanding flood reconstruction in 2016 and finally put their water woes behind them with the opening of a new water treatment plant and the implementation of their quad water agreement with Black Diamond, Longview and the M.D. of Foothills.
