Okotoks Peyton Krebs was among those celebrating a gold medal at the Hlinka/Gretzky Cup this past weekend in Edmonton.

A top prospect heading into next year's NHL Draft, Krebs says he was excited to suit up for Canada.

Krebs says heading into his final year of junior hockey he wants to make an impression.

"I think every year is very important, your last year (of eligibility), you want to make a name for yourself and this year, you just want to keep rolling. Take strides each and every day to get better and keep working my hardest and let things on the other side of things keep playing out."

Krebs plays for the Kootenay Ice of the WHL.
