The Okotoks Dawgs have signed an additional seven pitchers for their upcoming season.

Eddy Tavares from San Cristobal, in the Dominican Republic has been signed.

He's a senior at Peru State College in Nebraska, and was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Kalen Huxford from Rosedale, Indiana has also been signed.

He played ball at Lincoln Trail College and finished with a 5-1 record and 1.53 ERA over 59 innings, and is attending St. Leo University.

Zak Spivy of Naples, Florida is a senior at Weber International University.

Spivy has a 7-3 record on the mound with a 2.97 ERA over 10 appearances.

Galen Manhard from Carmel Valley California is a Junior at the Academy of Art University. Manhard led his team with a 2.89 ERA.

Tanner Simpson of North Bend, Washington is attending Lewis & Clark State College and is in his senior year.

Andrew Yates of Harrodsburg, Kentucky is a senior at the Indiana University Southeast.

Yates ranks 25th in the NAIA in runs allowed.

Yates was with the Dawgs last season, posting a 4.90 ERA, over 14 innings of work, striking out 23 batters.

And the only Canadian on the list Billy Brand, from Burlington Ontario has verbally committed to a season with the Dawgs. Brand is currently a senior at Point University.
