The Sherwood Park Crusaders play their final game of the AJHL regular season Thursday, February 27 in Whitecourt.

It's significant to the Okotoks Oilers who'll be scoreboard watching on this one.

If the Wolverines can upset the Crusaders, that'll give the Oilers first place overall in the AJHL this season and home ice throughout the playoffs.

A Sherwood Park win will give the Crusaders the title, even though they'd be tied with the Oilers in points, as the tie breaker is the number of wins in regulation time, which the Crusaders have more of.

The Oilers, Crusaders and Brooks Bandits all get the first round bye in the AJHL playoffs.

The playoffs get underway Sunday, March 1, with the Drumheller Dragons hosting the Olds Grizzlys and the Camrose Kodiaks taking on the Canmore Eagles in the two South Division first round match-up's.

Up north, there's three series with the Grande Prairie Storm facing the Spruce Grove Saints.

Whitecourt battles the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and the Bonnyville Pontiacs host the Drayton Valley Thunder.

All series are best of seven through each round of the playoffs.
