The Okotoks Oilers snuck out of Drumheller Tuesday, February 13, with a 3-2 shoot-out win to run their win streak to 16 games.

Oilers sniper Kyle Gordon tied it up late and then got the shoot-out winner to beat the Dragons.

"Pretty" is not how he describes the win.

"Greasy road win I guess? They (Dragons) played really well. They probably dominated us the majority of the game, in our end. But, the two AP's (Associate Players) we had were amazing. They're really good defencemen and our other four defencemen stepped up huge."

The Oilers head to Olds Friday, February 16 to face the Grizzlys.

The Oilers magic number to clinch top spot in the AJHL South Division is down to three games.

Either three wins from them, three losses from the Brooks Bandits, or any combination of the three.

Gordon says the Oilers are going to keep working to be the top team in the league over their final eight games, and if they can win out, they'll also break the league record for consecutive wins.
