The Okotoks Oilers are gearing up for their AJHL final series with the Spruce Grove Saints starting Friday, April 13.

Coach Tyler Deis says the Oilers were pretty excited to be able to get past the Brooks Bandits and into their first ever AJHL final.

"It was a good win for the organization and especially beating a team like that, they kind of ran away with the South Division title for the better part of the last decade, so it was a good win for the organization."

Deis says things are the way they should be with the two top teams in the league fighting it out for the title.

"They're a hell of a team. It doesn't get any easier playing against them. So, we expect a pretty hard and long series."

They get things going Friday and Saturday, April 14, in Okotoks with games one and two in the best of seven series.
