The Okotoks Oilers have extended their winning streak to 8 and 0 after a 3 - 1 win over the Canucks in Calgary on Oct. 6th.

Forward and Assistant Captain Kyle Gordon says he loves playing the Canucks.

"I love playing these guys. They are right up there with Brooks and Camrose to play because it is hard to win here. They come with their all, they battle with us, they are a good team. We like to get up for this game.

Gordon says the secret to winning the game was they never gave up.

"We kept on the gas we went back and forth, we killed a five-on-three, they killed a five-on-three. We are playing well, we just have to keep it going."

Next up, the Oilers hit the road to take on the Camrose Kodiaks October 7th.

"I expect them to come hard, as you know they beat Fort Mac when they were undefeated. They definitley are playing well. We have to really show up to play. It is going to be the biggest one yet."

The Oilers next home game is Oct. 13th at 7 p.m. when the Fort McMurray Oil Barons come to town.
