The Okotoks Oilers and Spruce Grove Saints hit the ice Friday, April 13, for the opening game of the AJHL finals.

Coach Tyler Deis says having the hometown fans will make a huge difference for the Oilers.

"I just think with the excitement in the building and stuff it's definitely, you know, I think both teams are going to be out there be playing their best hockey and stuff, and there's going to be mistakes being made, but, you know hopefully with just that added sixth guy out there on the ice, it definitely gives you an advantage."

The Oilers and Saints go Friday and Saturday, April 14, at 7 o'clock at the Pason Centennial Arena.

The series switches to Spruce Grove for games three and four Monday, April 16 and Tuesday, April 17.
